I just got a new 20" 2.4GHz iMac (the new Penryn model) and noticed a few minutes ago that there is a very small, red thin line that is vertical and changes from red to white. It can not be seen at all in certain colors. It goes from the top of the screen to the very bottom, and sometimes fades and then gets brighter. I have heard this is a problem with some older iMac models -- but didn't know it was one with the just-released models.

By the way, I have Applecare.

any other....

So, is there any other way of fixing this problem besides sending it to Apple?

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Screen Lines

I am new to MacForums so this topic may have been discussed before but I did not find anything in search.

I have a 3 year old PowerBook and I have three vertical lines running through the screen. It started with one blue line that I have had for months and just this week two more have appears.

Thanks for any help.
