So im trying to cut videos..so they can look professional..what program should i buy?

That is a pretty general statement.
What exactly do you mean by "cut videos"?
Are these videos you have taken yourself? How are you getting the clips?
If you are looking to do some quick edits, iMovie should suffice for you. If you purchased your Mac from Apple, then iLife was likely pre-installed on your machine. While I would never suggest it for a professional job, iMovie can produce some decent results.
Either way, you will have to provide more detail about exactly what you intend on doing for anyone to give a more detailed and concise answer.
