I just got the new macbook pro. Mac os x 10.5.2 was accidentally installed on the computer twice, meaning the cds that were enclosed were installed and downloaded right after setting up the computer. What happens if the software is downloaded a second time? Will if affect the battery life of the computer or any other specs?

It just takes up space. You can delete the other system folder safely.

Sorry louis agree with Baggs. Delete and run Software Update to be on the safe side. Will lead to difficulties finding files etc.
