Opening Folders Within Stacks

I accidently deleted my Applications stack. I fixed this by dragging my Applications folder back to my dock and recreating the stack.

Before I accidently deleted the stack I could open it (grid) and click on a folder and it would open in a finder window.

Now when I click on a folder within my stack nothing happens at all.

How do I get the "old" behavior back?

Hmmm ... I logged out then logged back in and my stack behaves like I would expect.
