Connect HD TV to iMAC

Does anyone know how to connect HD TV Box (Time Warner Cable) to iMAC?
With Firewire 400/800 is not possible. Time Warner deactivated the Firewire connector because the TV signal can not be encrypted... with PC and MAC you will be able to watch everything.

If you know any other connectors which will do the trick, please reply.

You'll need a USB TV tuner to watch TV on your Mac. Check out Elgato for some good tuners.
