My iMac (17" 2.00Ghz) came with 1GB (2x512MB) and I bought a 3GB (1GB+2GB) kit from OWC's website. I got it today and have had problems.

I put both the 1GB and 2GB into the slots and turn it on. When it turns on, it beeps three times and then the light flashes 3 times repetitively. Nothing happens, so I took the 2GB out and put in my original 512MB with the 1GB and it works perfectly. When I try using the 2GB with the 512MB, it does the same thing as the 1st time(beeps 3 times then does nothing). So basically I think something is wrong with the 2GB.

Any clue to whats going on?

Is that the G5 or the Intel iMac?

If it's Intel it just sounds like a bad stick... send it back?
If it's the G5 I think they only support 2GB. What happens with just the 2GB stick on it's own?

Its an Intel. When I use the 2GB alone it beeps and does nothing :/

I've tried calling their tech support but its taking forever.

This is the Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz CPU and not the older Core Duo correct?

If your iMac is able to support 3GB RAM, then I would say you have a defective stick.
