Hey guys
i just broke my sony vaio which has 2 gb of pc2-4200 ram and i was thinking of buying a macbook which has 1 gb pc-5300 ram. i was wondering if i could just replace the 2 512mb sticks of pc-5300 in the mac and put my 2 gb of pc2-4200. would that significantly slow down my macbook? is it even compatible? thanks

Not sure about significantly, but definitely noticeably. And yes they are compatible.
