iPhoto Vs Picasa

I was wondering bout iphoto- when you make modifications to a photo per se in an event, does it modify the actual file itself or does it maintain the original?

I think it maintains the original. If you browse the iphoto container, there's a folder called "Originals" where all your pics are stored.

Yes, it keeps a copy of the original so that you can always go back and start over.

Oh, and please stay out of the library in finder. You are asking for trouble if you go messing about in there.
