Connecting MacBook to TV

I want to connect my Macbook to TV to watch movies on my TV.
My TV has RCA and S-Video input, but not HDMI or VGA

Could someone confirm which would be the best method:

METHOD 1
Macbook --> http://www.ebuyer.com/product/120712 --> TV

METHOD 2
Macbook --> Mini DVI to Video Adapter --> S-Video to S-Video Cable --> TV (for video, and)
Macbook --> http://www.ebuyer.com/product/74059 --> TV (for audio)

Method 1 wouldn't work as there is nothing on the Macbook that you could connect it to.

Since you don't have HDMI or VGA/DVI connectors on your TV, method 2 seems to be your only option.

Don't expect great results either. Your not going to want to use that type of connection if you are going to have to read text, it looks horrible. Movies are OK but it works in a pinch.

I'll 2nd this.
Text looks frakin horrendous, but movies do look pretty good, if you have to do it that way.
Mac + S-video adapter + external speakers, instant Mini Home Theater.

I was planning to use this to watch movies bought/rented from iTunes (as an alternative to Apple TV) - that will work?

If I *did* want to read text what would be the best connection to use?

Yeah the DVI to HDMI thing is amazing. I have it and the quality rocks but you would really want to get some audio cables for it because otherwise you gotta hook up some regular speakers and it is just weird.
