i am getting a macbook pro..is there a way to move all the information of my macbook to the pro?

get a firewire cable... the first time you turn on the MacBook Pro it will ask if you have another Mac that you want to transfer data from... follow the instructions from there

yep -it's called migration assistant, like visualpurple said - uses a firewire cable to transfer your data
