I was updating thru software update to 10.3.6 and it hung up, so I had to hard close the system (hold the power button) and now all I get is kernel panics when I attempt to boot. It looks like it is booting but after the indicator has been spinning it comes up with a kernel panic. Suggestions? Its a new PowerBook G4 that I just got last wednesday.

Well, I booted up while holding shift and got into safe mode (just a lucky guess) and I am currently repairing permissions, then I am going to update and see what happens.

I don't know what happened with the updating, but after starting in safe mode, repairing permissions, and finishing software update, it is fine. No more panics!! Yay, I don't have to reinstall!!!
