Connecting iBook to windows network

Hello.

Im a new MAC User (Haven't got my iBook yet, its still in the post)

But when i do i will be looking to connect it to both my home windows network and my University's windows network (i say windows network meaning that the majority of machines are windows OS based).

I was just wondering if there is any threat from viruses or likewise software in doing this?

Nope. Mac's aren't vulnerable to the same viruses and security issues that Window's is. You'll be fine.
