Wich is the best software to record songs?

Which is the best software for drum programming? One that uses pads like Fruity Loops for Windows? One that is not o tricky to make good loops. I`m kind of one man band, and I want a software in which I can record all my first EP.

What do you, folks, reccomends to me?

I have a plain and basic one of these new macbooks.

Have you tried Garageband? It comes with the Mac, so it would be a good place to start.

not really but you can download loops from the internet...

Yeah Garageband would be good.

It comes with a couple of drum loops, you could always record your own on there too?
