I'm not sure what's happened, but my internal display's colors are all entirely off. It has a rainbow oiled over look to it and it's really worrying me. The display worked fine until a few hours ago today. I've tried restarts, disconnected power/batt, etc. but no luck. There was a thunderstorm this afternoon but it was hooked to a surge protector and that didn't trip or reset. External displays work fine, screen capture shows correct color. There's no degauss feature on the internal displays, any suggestions??

Hopefully it's only static buildup that's on the screen..... Try using warm water mixed with a bit of dish detergent. Dip a soft cloth in the mixture and be sure to wring it out where it's slightly damp but still a bit soapy. Gently wipe your screen with the mixture and let it dry.

Do not attempt to degauss the LCD screen with any kind of tool as that possibly could destroy your hard drive and other components.

Thunderstorms are a real hazard to electronic devices including computers. I lost around $800 worth of TV, network card, router, and air conditioning control unit from a near strike some time ago here in Texas.

Regards.
