Montevino - MacBook/iMac/Both?

I am thinking about making the move to Mac. Have read about the forthcoming Montevino chipset....will that be in the laptops only...or will it also be in the Imacs. I want an Imac, but want to make sure I get the latest and greatest! Any comment appreciated.

No iMac updates are imminent. You're safe to buy now.

The notebooks and iMac will likely move to Montevina, but the advantages should be relatively minimal on the imac front. I think the biggest change is support for a slightly lower-power Penryn CPU, which makes more a difference on the laptop front.

Also, the iMacs were just refreshed, so I wouldn't expect a new slew for another 6 months or so at least.
