enhancement

I have some images that i wish to enhance for desktop wallpaper. The image though when stretched to fit the desktop becomes a bit fuzzy, i was wondering if there are any programs that would enhance this image when stretched so as to create a smooth appearance on the desktop??

i know.. a bit ridiculous huh, but I love using my mac for everything little odd and end.

If the picture is of low resolution, then you can't really do anything to increase that resolution to be able to fit on your desktop. No amount of enhancing will make the resolution increase.
