not for three days... should i?
Yes.

Whenever you have a problem, try a restart.
It can't hurt anything and most of the time, it will clear whatever problems you may be having.

Terminal.app:

$ killall Dock

It should terminate the Dock process and it will obediently relaunch. Then see if you have a big gap in it.

Also how'd you get the rounded corners in the 3D bit the icons are sitting on? I have the Leopard 3D dock by the corners are square. I assume you're using Leopard since you have both a 3D Dock and a translucent Menu Bar.

walkerj,

I don't know what the OP is using, but there are several sites out there with replacement docks. Here is one I have bookmarked: Dockulicious

It is just a dock where the corners of the PNG's are rounded...

I assume you know how to switch docks, right?

I think that on is called plateau on leoparddocks.com

isnt it just a Dock Spacer you have made with the LeopardDocks App? If it is, simply right-click the space, and spress remove...
