I'm searchin for any info i can get on the sata chipset in an Imac G5 1.8 PPC.
Ive got an imac sitin around the house not being used so i'm tryin to figure out a way to make it useful. Id like to put it in a new case and run it headless as a Back up server. To do so id like to avoid fire wire drives, so im wanting to know if it is at all possible for me to use a sata port multiplier with this and get 5 drives going.
any one have any info on the g5 ppc sata chipsets?
