I'm thinking of getting a ipod touch and I was wondering if I can sync my calendar events with my mac and ipod without purchasing mobile me.

Not OTA, but if you plug the iTouch into your Mac and sync via iTunes you can sync your ical and your contacts..... as well as pics too! Good luck.
