Firefox 1.0 vs Safari....

I use Safari because it loads a lot faster than Firefox, they are pretty similar other than that (and Safari looks cooler).

I like the customizable features that Firefox offers.

Firefox is faster than Safari, but I use Safari coz I like the look and feel of it. Personal preference.

safari on my mac is faster than firefox, then again, I use safari speedup to improve safaris performance, and a broadband optimizer, so maybe thats why.

i tried omniweb awhile back. while it looks amazing and has a really good design, its just not functional.

if you like firefox, but still have issues with its appearance or behaviour, try camino. it uses the same rendering engine as firefox/mozilla, but is specially designed for osx, whereas firefox was more or less ported to osx.

I have to agree that Camino handles better than Firefox. Firefox is too jittery. While I do like OmniWeb, it has been running a bit slow for me so I've been favoring Camino lately.
