Just tried to load a CD in my internal DVD/CD drive (iBook G4) and - it doesn't work anymore... Just makes a few noises (quieter than normal), then after a about a minute, spits out the disk.
Unable to run the Apple Hardware test or run the Disk Utility check because the Installer CD must first be loaded...
Laptop is about 3 years old and don't want to get rid of it. Any suggestions re installing/purchasing a new DVD/CD internal drive, or tips on trying to 'fix' current problem.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Ta
