Value of a 1.8 single G5?

I'm looking at buying a 1.8 single G5 powermac and was wondering what a good price would be. Thanks

$500 seems reasonable. Go to eBay and search. You can search completed listings to get a nice ballpark.

thanks for the help. ebay isn't that useful as there aren't many single 1.8's being sold.

I completely guessed on that figure to be honest. I remember them being $800 a few years ago.

Is it worth that price though? IMO, no way. You could buy/ build a Core 2 Duo or find a refurb Core 2 Quad for $500 these days with a 8600 GT video card. It'd blow that Mac out of the water. It just wouldn't run OS X.

and that's the key Anyhow, I have an Air and this would be just to play around with. I like the looks of those metal cases
