I recently bought a MacBook Pro and am trying to migrate my iTunes and iPod over to it from my old Windows PC.
On Windows, I had the iPod Device option "Synch only checked songs and videos" selected and the option "Manually manage music and videos" unselected. With these options, when I pressed synch, all my playlists from iTunes copied to my iPod, and any unchecked files from iTunes were left off the iPod. This is the behavior I want.
On my new Mac, I those same settings but get very different behavior. The playlists don't copy from iTunes to the iPod, and every file, checked or unchecked, from my iTunes is copied to the iPod.
What is this? I much prefer the behavior I had on Windows. How can I get it on my Mac?
Thanks
