Not sure if Im posting this in the right place but figured someone here would know.
Im having issues tring to add MS Sql as a data source using Actual ODBC free edition. Macbook Pro OS X 10.5.3, get "server does not exist" when entering the log in credentials. I have xp installed in vmware fusion using NAT and can ping the server in both vm and in terminal in OS X but cannot add the MS sql server as a data source in either OS. Is there some sort of security blocking me (in OS X)? I know the server IP/Name are correct and the user login credentials are correct since I can add the server as a source on other windows machines at the office. Ive had this macbook for about two weeks so Im a n00b lol. I would purchase a full version if I could make the demo connect. Any ideas?
