new casing?

the battery on my macbook black feels like its too far in it has done for ages now but only just realised its not meant to be like this after seeing my friends, anyone else having this issue? theres a sharp ridge between the edge of the bottom and the battery and its very annoying, how much would a new case be if the powers that be wont fix it and can anyone point me in the right direction? cheers in advance
