I have a macbook that is less then a year old. for some reason it shows battery as "Not Charging". the plug in the side shows green. but the battery itself is not charging. if i look at the bottom of the laptop the battery shows no led. green orange or otherwise. its like the battery isnt plugged in.

I have no idea what this laptop would be showing the battery as not charging when its less then 6 months old.

any idea what happened or what i can do. i tried resetting the smc or whatever its called and it did nothing.

When you go to the Apple menu> About This Mac> More Info...> Power, what does it say? Here's mine for example (my battery has died).

See, to me that says dead battery. Call Apple or take it in, you shouldn't have no charge capacity after 70 cycles and less than a year's use really.
