Three times now recently I've had a volume malfunction on my macbook. I would be watching a video and upon pressing a volume key to change by a point or two, it shoots up and to the max and won't respond to my trying to lower it. One occasion happened when I was in a library. As you can imagine this is very bothersome. I had to force power it off immediately to cease the sound. It the fault in my keys themselves or the hardware? This is the second issue I'm having, the first being a non-responsive trackpad click bar. Despite having the expensive applecare plan, having it serviced would cost me $50. Thanks for any and all replies.

Sorry, I don't understand. If you have Applecare they should repair something like that. Have you called Apple or taken it to your local store to be looked at?
