What version of ubuntu will work on my mac

its a intel based imac

the 64 bit doesn't work :(

p.s. just relised ive spelt ubuntu wrong

Which intel based iMac? Is it a core duo or core 2 duo?

Are you using the Live CD? The 64bit version should work as the C2D is 64bit. What happens when you try to boot from the live disc?
