Dear All,

I have an old laptop running 10.3.9. After recently purchasing and I-Pop have found that it requires 10.4.8 or later to run on my machine... however after successfully installing Leopard on my non Intel G5 I am left wondering, can I install 10.5.1 on my old school I-Book?

Or is there some sort of upgrade that would allow me to use my new I-Pod on 10.3.9?

Thanks

Harry

Leopard requires a G4 processor running at least 833 Mhz (I think), plus I would recommend a minimum of 1 gig of RAM - more if that laptop allows

Hi,

Thanks for your help, I have just purchaced a new I-pod Nano, And it wont work on 10.3.9... my laptop does not meet the Leopard 833Mhz minimum requirement. Is there any sort of update available that would allow the Ipod Nano to to run on 10.3.9

I don't believe so.
About the only thing to try, is update iTunes and Quicktime to the latest versions. If it still won't work, you'd need to upgrade the laptop to Tiger. Ebay would be the easiest and cheapist way to go.
Tiger requirements;
