AirPort Express and Printer Connectivity

Having added a Mac Pro to our two MBP's, we decided it was time to hook up the printer remotely via the AirPort Express. Keep getting a "communication error" on the Mac Pro and another more obscure error message on my MBP. The UBS cord is fine and I've exhausted the limited troubleshooting guide in the AirPort Express pamphlet. Any thoughts?
