hi all....according to the genius at Apple, I lost the ethernet part of my logic board. He said it was $800 to replace the logic board or I could go get a PCI ethernet card. He couldnt advise of any brand or type, so I am winging it. (I am like a pair of brown shoes in a tuxedo shop with computers)
I have tried two boards and I cannot get them to be recognized.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated...thanks, Jon

That would be a PCI-E ethernet card then! I typed "PCI-E mac ethernet"
into google and got this:

or

http://www.sonnettech.com/product/prestogigpciebasic.html

or

The last one is $99
