I hope this is the right forum to be posting this in...

I have a 2.66 Quad Core Mac Pro w/ 2GB of RAM. When I am running Aperture 2.1, that program gets sluggish. (I am usually running it with Photoshop as well) I had this same problem with Aperture 1, but had read that Aperture 2 had been better optimized to run faster. I am still running Tiger 10.4.11 and I remember reading as well that Aperture worked best on Leopard, but I still feel it is too sluggish. Would adding 2 more GB of RAM help to speed it up? Does this even sound like a RAM issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It could be. It could be any number of things.
Open the activity monitor and see if there is a process using too much of the processor or overloading the RAM.
