Slow startup and reboots.

Okay my MacBook is a month old about and for some reason, it seemed like at first my startup was VERY FAST. I am talking about the start up BEFORE it allows me to log into my account. I do not have a lot of startup programs set up for when I do that.

Also, when I put my Laptop into SLEEP MODE it takes a very long time to come out of sleep allowing me to log in again..

Is this normal? It takes at least more than 30 seconds when coming out of sleep and it's the same for a system reboot/startup.

I am feeling like something just is not right..

I have a 2.4ghz 4gigs of ram Black Macbook.
