A G5 in 2001 huh...

I called Apple today. After 20 minutes on the phone the girl found the part I needed. She said the purchase date on my computer was June 2005. It is the last PowerMac before they went MacPro.

Actually running market research on ebay shows this has sold for 2,000.00 a few times in the past 90 days.

To the OP, 2.5Ghz Quad I have seen go for $2000. Yours is worth less but it's still a very useable machine.

And to the other poster, where do you get a 7 year old machine? Did you read my URL?

2.3 GHz Dual introduced 2005.10.19 at $2,499; replaced by Mac Pro 2006.08.07
requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

3 year old machine. Hope I don't come off as being mean, but I do not want the OP thinking he owns a piece of junk. It's still an excellent machine.

The cord came in 9 bucks for it and Apple overnighted it!!! I plug up and I don't even get a light when I push power. Could it be the power supply? If I have the power supply from a 1.8 G5 could I put it in this computer?
