• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I'm stumped. This is the first time I've tried using iDVD (7.0.1) and I'm using the "Magic iDVD" option to create a project. I have a folder of about 12 AVI files, all of which add up to less than 400MB. Once I add them to the project, it tells me that the size is too large to fit on a 4.7GB disk. Huh?

I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I can't find it. I already have the quality in Project Info set to "Best Performance" which says it can hold 4.58 GB's. What am I missing?

Ah, I see, I had it backwards. I was interpreting the settings for quality wrong. I set it to "Professional" and now have enough space. The wording really doesn't make sense to me.
