Can you run Leopard on a G4 powermac?

Hi, Is it possible to install Leopard on an older G4 and will it run ok? What is the minimum spec of the machine it will run on.

The MAIN thing with a G4 is the CPU speed. It has to be an 867Mhz G4 or more to install. Not sure on the RAM requirement, but at least 512Megs I am pretty sure, but it will not install if that Minimum CPU speed is not there.

What G4 Mac do you own?

The one i have now is running Tiger, But i am looking for a secondhand one (ebay!) for my daughter's room, Just needed to know what spec to look out for.

In short yes, over 867MHz processor and suggest minimum 1GB RAM. Your avatar does not give model details.

I am currently doing exactly that - I have a Quicksilver, dual 1.5 processors.

Minimum specs:
867 MHz G4 processor
512 MB RAM
9 GB HDD space
