So i was just looking at some other apple online stores around the world, and clicked mexico, check this out:

is it just me or is it really $$$??

That would be in pesos. So maybe it's actually $2,600 in U.S dollars. :)

so pesos have the same $ sign?
Edit: i did a little search and lol:
"The peso is the currency of Mexico. The symbol used for the peso is "$", basically the same as for the US dollar since the dollar derived its logo from the Spanish-Mexican currency"
