When I open PowerPoint files created on my old PC in PowerPoint 2003, they are mostly blank, the text boxes have been stripped away.

Any solution to this?

Thanks

Not quite sure but I am going to take a stab at this one.

Office 2003 and Office 2008 have compatibility issues (for some reason I don't understand) so you have to download a "format converter". It will save files in 2003 that are compatible with 2008. Download the file here:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downlo...d=AB66B5BF-37C3-41BB-945E-784782FC582C#viewer

(the name of the file you want is "Microsoft Office Open XML File Format Converter for Mac 0.2.1 (Beta)")

Not 100% sure if this will work but I hope it helps.

thanks

Thanks for the replies. Doesn't seem to be a ppt for mac issue, and is only a problem for text boxes that were not created as part of a master slide. Frustrating, but I retyped. :Angry-Tongue:
