hey everyone.

so, i am not sure exactly what happened, but all the icons on my desktop allow very few words/characters under them. example...

instead of the hard drive icon having "Macintosh HD"

it instead has "...D"

is there a quick way to increase the number of characters allowed with those icons? thanks for any suggestions!

15"MacBook Pro 2.7 GHz i7 (2013) | 15"MacBook Pro 2.6GHz (2018) both OS 10.14.1 | iPhone 6 OS 12.1
right click/ctrl click on the desktop & select "show view options"
increase the value of the "grid spacing" slider....this should solve the problem.
