iphone airplane mode

I put my phone into airplane mode a couple of days ago and now it defaults to that mode all the time. This is really pissing me off cause I miss calls all the time, and I have to turn airplane mode off, but it keeps commming back. Please enlighten me as to why I spent 500 bucks on this thing.

Its probably just a system glitch try restarting hold sleep wake button & home button down for five seconds, try reseting settings and/or restore last resort.
