I accidentally dragged a folder containing a lot of important files into my trash and then emptied the trash (not secure empty). I'm not using time machine.

Is there any way I can recover this folder? It's extremely important!

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!

TechTool Pro is a great app to have (although it can be expensive to run). It'll do data recovery, and includes some great tools to help prevent/recover from data loss/hardware failure. TechTool Deluxe (cut-down version) is included with AppleCare, but I don't know what that version includes.

And it can't be said too much; backup, backup, backup!
