Hey, I'm looking for a way to run my Viewsonic vx2235wm 22" LCD on my G4 MDD. The resolution I need (1680x1050) for it to operate at optimum quality is not available to me via the Displays preferences pull down menu.

I need to download a driver for the monitor to work, but I don't know which one since all of ViewSonic's drivers appear to be for windows. Is this something related to the video card? Do I need an updated driver for IT?

Thanks for your help.

Have you plugged the monitor in to your Mac yet? I *thought* Mac OS X was able to recognize most major monitor types and drive them at their optimum resolution. It may simply be that having not yet "met" your monitor it is not providing you with the choice yet?
