I saw this nice and subtle javascript effect on http://dragoninteractive.com/.
Searching for a free slolution this is the best I came with: http://www.javascript-fx.com/fade_rollovers/general_help/help.html

I tried to replicate this effect on my site http://andreimg.110mb.com/, but the problem is that it only works on IE and Firefox.
Opera shows just a standard rollover effect, while Safari switches to the rollover image on mouse over and just stays that way.
Anyone know of a better alternative?

PS: My knowledge of javascript is as basic as it can get.

It looks to me like they did created that effect in CSS. Since the navigation bars are not made of images, its not very likely that it will be a 'standard rollover.'

Check out their source code and their css and you'll see what i mean.
