- Gateway2000 P5-60. 66Mhz and 128 MB RAM.
How is it a mac can tell the difference between a pair of headphones and my desktop speakers during boot up? For example if my headphones are plugged in I still hear the mac do the startup noise (from the internal speaker) however once I plug it into me speakers I don't hear it (speakers are off). Is this just a resistance check?
