under security options in the system prefs, there are options to require a password to log on and to wake from sleep.

then set your sleep to like 10-15 min too ;).

Is this his computer, hers, or yours?

If it's his computer (or if he bought it for his daughter) then I'd suggest you get your own machine. Trying to keep him out of a computer he bought with his money is not so smart.

On the other hand, if its yours, then just tell him to keep his hands off of your stuff.

Guys, this is his DAD'S girlfriend, not his girlfriend's DAD. Which means she's prying around in HIS computer.

Sounds like you need to lock down your machine and have a little talk with your dad about his nosy girlfriend.

Aaah nice catch!
Funny how everyone read that wrong...

Lock your account down: Login password, Filevault, the works.

i didn't read it wrong. ;)

he has to lock it down.

alternately he could take a pic of her sleeping and make it his background with a sticky that says, "you delete anything else off my computer, and i'll delete some of that hair off of your head."

;)

I would lock down the computer and then have a serious talk with my dad (if I was 100% sure that it was her erasing the information).
