Is it possible to add sounds to Leopard's system sounds? One of the good things about the old Mac operating systems was that it was very easy to add sounds. Does anyone know if that can be done with the very latest operating system? Thanks!

Hi Mike,

You can add a sound file to the Sounds folder inside the Library folder in your users folder. It will then be accessible from the Sound pane in System Preferences and you can use it just as you would any system sound file.

If you want it to be accessible to all users of your computer, place it in the Sounds folder inside the Library folder of the System folder. You'll have to enter an administrator password to place it there, but afterwards it will show up as a built-in sound in System Preferences.
