Added DVD burner, but no iDvd

Hello, I have an iBook G4 and just purchased an external DVD burner. I have it setup to go and can burn DVD's in the Finder, but being I didn't have the burner when iLife was installed, iDvd isn't installed. I dont' have my discs anymore either. Oops. Do I have any options besides buying iLife 08? I have to burn 35 dvd's this weekend and need the Apple software. Thanks

It could be your external burner is not supported by some of the iLife applications. Google PatchBurn. Is this 10.4 Tiger or 10.5 Leopard? If Tiger, download and install Patchburn. It might fix the issue. Has for me a few times with unsupported burners.

Yep, already installed Patchburn. The thing is that I don't have iDvd and don't have the discs and am screwed. Thanks anyways.

An iMovie project.

Neither. I needed to burn an iMovie project exported to .mov. I got it now anyways, I just had to go buy iLife 08'. Not a big deal, I was going to do it some time anyway.
