Reasons not to use IE for Mac:
- Slooooooooooow
- No longer updated or supported
- Much better alternatives available
Other than those, it actually had some neat features and at the time it was actually better than it's Window's brother when they were released.
Reasons not to use IE on Windows:
- Security issues: Since the original poster doesn't seem to think IE has security issues, here is a
link to a google search for "IE Security Flaws". On a side note, you have to be completely living in a cave to not realize they exisit.
- Lacking in features: this of course is based on preference like tabbed browsing, etc. Although IE on XP did finally get pop-up blocking.
- My biggest pet peeve is that it's web standards support (CSS, HTML, XHTML) is just crap. It's buggy and hasn't been updated in years. Completely unacceptable in my book.
And I think AbZero will agree with me when I say I'm not a "mac fanboy". I still own a PC, I used to work for MS, and I definitely think in some areas (especially games) PCs do beat Macs. I will say though on my PC, I use Firefox which is a totally rocking browser for that platform.
