So I understand that we have a Hardware and a Software section.

But I would like to see a place where reviews and/or ratings for Apple related accessories can be posted.

I think that would be a fine addition to the forums.

I think at one point there was a review section. I guess the problem was that nobody actually did any reviews

Correct, we did have an officials review section, but it was closed again due to lack of contributions.
