I have a mac book pro and a powerpc g5. I want to upgrade them both to leopard and I'm getting conflicting messages about whether I can do it with a single user license or not. Can I? Do I have to buy the family package?

You will need two licenses, one for each machine. At $129 for the single user license and $199 for the Family Pack, it's just more economical to get the Family Pack.

Depends if your conscience can deal with the oh so terrible crime of buying one licence and putting it on both your machines.

Personally I'd feel a right mug throwing that money down the drain.

Installing a single copy of Mac OS X on more than one computer is a violation of Apple's EULA and therefore illegal. Our forum rules prohibit discussion of illegal behavior, therefore this thread has been closed.
